Mpo Connector

JTOPTICS® MPO Connector

The MPO (Multi-fiber Push On) connector is a multi-Fiber connector, the connector can be from 12 to 72 fibers located on the 12 fibers in a row. MPO connector is standardized in the international regulatory framework (the IEC 61754-7 standard) and the U.S. (TIA-604-5 Standard).

MPO connector is designed for high-density transmission and space-saving applications. Each individual connector contains 8, 12 or 24 strands of fiber through an MT ferrule, which provides quick and reliable interconnections with guide pin. MPO optical connector with guide pin called male type, and female type if without guide pin.

MPO connector kits include Dust Cap, Outer Housing, (Guide Pin) Pin Keeper, Spring, Rear Body, Crimp Ring, Boot. Guide Pin only appears in the male type of connector

MT Ferrule For MPO

MT Ferrule is one of the key parts in the connector. Optical properties like insertion loss & return loss of connector are mostly depends on the quality of ferrule.

High performance IL & RL

Housing can be removed for re-polishing

Can be un-plugged from adapter with push-pull tab

Available for 45-degree, 90-degree and flexible boot

IEC 61754-7 and TIA/EIA 604-5 Compliant for MPO/MTP interfaces

MPO Flex Boot Angled Boot Connector

Flex-Boot connector is designed to fit in tight spaces and in applications where a non-standard angle of connection is required. These fiber optic patch cables are built using pvc jackets along. These cables utilize specialized flexible boots that can be bent in a variety of angles including 90° without exceeding the recommended bend tolerances of the cable. Bend them into the angle that best fits your application.

High-Density Connectivity Simplified: MPO Connectors

JTOPTICS® MPO (Multi-Fiber Push-On) connectors are compact, high-density fiber optic connectors designed to streamline network connections in data centers and telecom systems. With the ability to connect 12, 24, or more fibers in a single interface, MPO connectors significantly reduce cable clutter and installation time. They are essential for supporting high-speed data transmission such as 40G, 100G, and 400G, offering reliable and scalable performance. MPO connectors ensure precise alignment and secure mating, making them ideal for backbone cabling, parallel optics, and breakout applications. Their versatility and efficiency make MPO connectors a cornerstone of modern fiber optic infrastructure.

Single-mode fiber optic cable excels at long-distance communication and featured an Yellow jacket. Single-mode cable is designed to carry a single signal source with low transmission loss over great distances. It is frequently used for communication systems due to the clarity it provides. This type of fiber optic cable has the smallest core and the thickest sheathing. OS2 fiber denotes single-mode low-water peak fibers that adhere to ITU-T G.652C and ITU-T G.652D specifications.
12 Fiber MPO / MTP® Connectors
12 Fiber MPO / MTP® Connectors
OM3 fiber features an aqua-colored jacket. Similar to OM2, it has a core size of 50 µm, but it is specifically optimized for laser-based equipment. OM3 supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet at lengths of up to 300 meters. Additionally, it can support 40 Gigabit and 100 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 meters. However, 10 Gigabit Ethernet remains the most commonly used application for OM3 fiber.
16 Fiber MPO / MTP® Connectors
16 Fiber MPO / MTP® Connectors
OM4 fiber maintains full backward compatibility with OM3 fiber and features the same recognizable Violet/Pink jacket. Developed specifically for VSCEL laser transmission, OM4 enables 10 Gig/s link distances of up to 550m, compared to 300m with OM3. Moreover, it supports 40/100GB up to 150 meters.
24 Fiber MPO / MTP® Connectors
24 Fiber MPO / MTP® Connectors
OM5 fiber, also referred to as Wideband Multimode Fiber (WBMMF), represents the latest iteration of multimode fiber and offers backward compatibility with OM4. Sharing the same core size as OM2, OM3, and OM4, OM5 fiber distinguishes itself with a lime green jacket. It is meticulously designed and specified to accommodate a minimum of four WDM channels, each operating at a speed of at least 28Gbps per channel, across the 850-953 nm window.
